17 DAYS Day 01: Drive Kathmandu(1400m) to Ngadi(890m) Duration of time:6-7 hours On the first day, we take a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Khudi via public bus. You will go through the Trishuli Highway. After some time of drive you will reach Muglin. You will go through another way from Mugling which follows the Marsyangdi river. On your way you will stop to take lunch. After having lunch you will again drive almost for 3-4 hours to reach Khudi. You then follow the gorge and pass a sprinkling of small hamlets and tropical forest before making our way across the Khudi Khola. Then you will follow the northern trail along the Marsyangdi valley towards Bulbule. After that you will move towards Ngadi. Overnight at Lodge in Khudi Day 02: Ngadi(890m) to Chamje(1400m) Duration of time:6-7 hours Today you will trek from Ngadi to Chamje, you will need to cross the various suspension bridges, waterfalls and some beautiful villages.You will go through the village named Bahun Danda, Ghyarmu village. After Ghyarmu village you cross the suspension bridge i.e Marsyangndi khola and continue your trek to the jeeped road. You will also see rocky hills. The interesting part of your today''s trek is the bee hives at the top of the cliff. After walking for a short time you will reach Chamje. Overnight at Lodge in Chamje Day 03: Chamje(1400m) to Dharapani(1860m) Duration of time:6-7 hours Today you will continue your trek to Dharapani. On your way, you can see stunning waterfalls. You will cross through the rhododendron, bamboo and pine forests. Then your way gets a bit rocky. You will ascend uphill to the land of Tal Village which looks like a piece of Heaven. Your trek then continues through a deep wooden canyon beautified by a stunning waterfall. You will ascend the trails throughout the day.Then you will be proceeding into Manang district and will be reaching Dharapani. Rest of your backpack will be enjoying the beauty of the region. Overnight at Lodge in Dharapani Day 04: Dharapani(1860m) to Koto(2619m) Duration of time:7-8 hours After having breakfast in the morning you will trek to reach your today destination which is Koto. To go there you need to register your area permit at the Police Check Post. Your trek to Koto starts through a narrow field. As you cross the trail, there will be the Marsyangdi river on your left. Nearly walking for 30 minutes leads you to Bagarchhap which is also known as Bhote village. You can see prayers flags hovering in the wind. From there you will go through Danaque(2210m) village. You ascend through the steep way to Timang village which is at the bottom of Lamjung Himal(6983m). You can see many other mountains like Mt. Annapurna I, Mt. Annapurna II and Mt. Manaslu. Finally after walking for a total of 7-8 hours you will reach Koto. Overnight at Lodge in Koto Day 05: Koto(2619m) to Meta(3560m) Duration of time:6-7 hours You will eventually be prepared for today''s trek but first you will have your breakfast. Your trek will take you to the fascinating pine forests. You will go through Dharamsala where you can see bridges and rivers. Then your trek will continue non-stop along the forests. From there you will ascend to Metha village. On the way to Metha, you cross the Tibetan Plateau which is also known as Qinghai in China. You will relish the magnificent view of Mt. Annapurna II(7935m), and Mt. Lamjung(6988m). You will see the scenic settlement of people over there. Overnight at Lodge in Meta Day 06: Metha(3560m) to Kayang(3740m) Duration of time:6-7 hours Early in the morning after doing breakfast you will head to Kayang for your trek. The landscape of Metha is just like milky rocks, juniper shrubs. Walking nearly for 1 hours steadily leads you to Junam which is the second permanent accommodation where the ‘Khampas' from Tibet come in winter. After that the other permanent accommodation is Chako after Khampa. Now almost walking for a few hours of uphill and downhill you will reach your campground at Kayang. Kayang is the great winter settlement of Phu which lies on the upland above the dwindling river. Overnight at Lodge in Kayang Day 07: Kayang(3740m) to Phu Village(4080m) Duration of time:4-5 hours You will begin your trek to Phu village early in the morning after breakfast. You should walk on the rocky trail to reach there. You will follow the bank of the river. On your way, you will see splendid and unique chortens from which Phu and Nar are closely illustrated. You need to cross a bridge made up of slabs. Before crossing that bridge, you have to rock-hop over a small glacier river. You go through a scenic canyon and gorges which leads you to Phu gate which is the ancient gate that provides you with the first view of the three villages of “Phu '''' and “Dzong”. Dzong is the fort but majestically situated at the top of the flatlands before Phu. You can visit the popular Gompa named Tashi Lhakhang. You now receive the blessings from Lama Karma Sonam Rinpoche. Overnight at Lodge in Phu Village Day 08: Phu Village(4080m) to Nar Village(4150m) Duration of time:6-7 hours On this day you will get back through Phu gate, you will go down to the river and hike down to Juman Kharka(4000m) which is a beautiful place for camping. As you trek almost for 3 hours through many streams and suspension bridge, you come across Lapche River. Then your trail takes to Mahendra Pul. Here you will have your lunch. After having lunch you will ascend as you pass through Buddhist Stupas. From there you will walk nearly 2 hours to reach Nar Village. You will relish the fascinating views of Pisang Peak(6091m) from there. After that you will rest and you will mentally be prepared to do tomorrow''s trek. Overnight at Lodge in Nar Village Day 09: Nar Village(4150m) to Ngwal(3650m) via Kang-La pass(5322m) Duration of time:6-7 hours Today''s trek is a bit long and also difficult so you need to make sure that you eat an enough amount of food at breakfast. You will cross the Kang La Pass(5240m). If there is snow on the pass then it will be more difficult for you. From there you can view Mt. Annapurna II(7935m), Mt. Gangapurna(7455m), Tilicho Peak(7135m) which looks extraordinary. From there your trail is steep down towards the end until you reach Ngwal which is in the Upper Pisang route of Annapurna Circuit. Ngwal is a beautiful old village of cobbled streets, beautiful architecture and prayer wheels. Before entering Ngwal you can see the grouping of Chortens and prayer flags. Overnight at Lodge in Ngwal Day 10: Ngwal(3650m) to Manang(3519m) Duration of time:3-4 hours The way to Manang from Ngwal is gradually descending. You will trek through the village of Paugha. From there you will go to Mugli for having Lunch. After having lunch there you will head to village Braga which is a beautiful village with traditional Tibetan style houses. You will also visit impressive monasteries, large chortens and mani walls on the way. You can see many Mountains in different angles like Mt. Annapurna II(7935m), Mt. Annapurna III(7555m), Mt Gangapurna(7455m), Pisang Peak(6091m), Tilicho Peak(7135m), Chulu East(6584m) etc on your way. You will continue on a steep climb for an hour until you reach Manang. Overnight at Lodge in Manang Day 11: Acclimatization in Manang(3519m) Duration of time:6-7 hours In order to acclimate your body at higher altitude and avoid altitude sickness, it is very important to keep yourselves busy today with a hike to either Bhojo Gumba or Gangapurna Lake. You can explore fascinating views of panoramic mountains and natural beauties. There are many lodges and bakeries in Manang. You can visit Khangsar, Tsamkhang and Chulu. If time and energy is still left, you can hike to Vrage village and visit the Himalayan Rescue Association(HRA) in order to get the insight of Acute Mountain Sickness(AMS). After exploring and capturing some memories you will get back to Manang because of higher altitude. Overnight at Lodge in Manang Day 12: Manang(3519m) to Ledar(4250m) Duration of time:6-7 hours Yesterday you did an exploration in Manang. Today your destination is to reach Ledar. Your path first leads you to Tenki Manang. From here, you can view the awesome view of the mountains. After hiking for some time it leads you to Yak Kharka. You will walk uphill from there for nearly 1 hour. While walking uphill you can view the magnificent mountains which welcomes you to Ledar. Overnight at Lodge in Ledar Day 13: Ledar(4250m) to Thorong High Camp(4540m) Duration of time:6-7 hours Today your trek starts from Ledar to Thorong High Camp. Firstly you will move east from where you reach to Jorsang Khola. Some trekkers trek to Thorong Phedi but we will advise you to push yourself to trek along the way of Thorong High Camp. You will see the extraordinary views of Gangapur peaks(495m) and Mt. Annapurna III(7555m) on your way. You will continue the trek to reach Thorong Phedi(4540m). From Thorong Phedi you will also hike to Thorong high camp. Overnight at Lodge in Thorong high camp Day 14: Thorong high camp(4540m) to Muktinath(3800m) Duration of time:6-7 hours Today your destination is to reach muktinath from Thorong High Camp. You are going to trek to the world''s biggest Thorong la pass this morning so be prepared with warm gear and some snacks with packed lunch. You will start early in the morning with lights in the head. You will walk slowly up to Thorong high camp. It will be better if you drink water when you stop at the interval of a few minutes. After high camp you will ascend straight to another 3 hours. When you reach the top, you can click some group pictures then you will descend towards Muktinath. You should be more careful while descending down. On the way, you will see Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Nilgiri and many other himalayas as you come near Mustang valley. When you reach Muktinath, a beautiful Hindu temple and monastery, you can worship in the temple and enjoy the scene. Muktinath means Nirvana god in Hindu. So, many Hindu devotees visit this place. Overnight at Lodge in Muktinath Day 15:Drive from Muktinath(3800m) to Tatopani(1200m) Duration of time:6-7 hours Yesterday you ascended Thorong High Camp and descended Muktinath(3800m) which required a lot of effort. You might be tired. So for your comfort, today you are going to drive from Muktinath to Tatopani by a public bus. The road is dusty and serpentine. You can communicate with local passengers and it will also help you to explore how local people of this region travel in local transport. On the way, you can view beautiful scenes which include beautiful lands, cafes, rivers, and apple gardens. You will stop for tea and lunch on your way. When you reach the beautiful village of Tatopani, you will find hot springs. After you check in to the guest house, your guide offers you to go to the hot spring. You will enjoy this spot very much. It is believed that taking baths here with hot water will heal your muscles. Overnight at Lodge in Tatopani Day 16: Drive from Tatopani(1200m) to Pokhara(850m) Duration of time:6 hours After breakfast you are going to drive to Pokhara by public bus. You can explore natural beauty along the way. It takes 6 hours to reach Pokhara from Tatopani. You can wander around the beautiful streets of Pokhara at night. You will be staying overnight at a hotel in Pokhara. Overnight at Lodge in Pokhara Day 17: Drive from Pokhara(850m) to Kathmandu(1400m) Duration of time:6-7 hours After having breakfast in the morning you will travel towards Prithvi Highway which is your last drive in a tourist bus to reach the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. Your way is an adventurous journey filled with diverse landscapes and changing topography. The duration of the drive will be about 6-7 hours. You can relish the drive with green hills, rivers and terrace farming.
